Also tried to make my very first layout today - didn't use a photo but this super cute bear stamp...

Heute habe ich auch mein allererstes Layout gemacht - Foto hab ich keines verwendet, aber diesen supersüßen Bärenstempel...

Asian Girls

I thought it's about time for an Easel-Card, haven't made one for months now. A friend of mine really loves Asia so I made this card for her. Hope she likes it!

Ich dachte, dass es wieder mal Zeit für eine Easel-Karte ist, habe ja seit Monaten keine mehr gemacht. Diese hier ist für eine Freundin, die Asien liebt, hoffentlich gefällt die Karte!

HOW TO - Waterfall Card

Today, I made a waterfall card, my very first try at this technique - took some pics while doing, so why don't you try it out yourself?!

Heute habe ich eine Wasserfall-Karte gemacht, mein erster Versuch bei dieser Technik - ich hab auch gleich ein paar Fotos gemacht, also warum probiert ihr nicht selbst auch mal eine zu machen?!

And this is what you'll need:

1 piece 6,5x23,7 cm (green), 1 piece 10,5x15cm (green), 4 pieces 6x8cm (green)

1 piece 11,5x16cm (chili), 4 pieces 6,5x8,5cm (chili), 2 pieces 1x10,5cm (chili) - or 1 if you like

4 pieces 4,5x7cm (white) - I used white cardstock just for decoration, you might skip those

The trees are from the SU! StampSet "Lovely as a Tree" - I colored the stamp with Write Markers from SU! and just covered those trees with color which I would need for each panel...

Score the 6,5x23,7cm piece at 5cm, 6,5cm, 8cm and 9,5cm - fold like shown:

This is how you layer the 4 pieces of each cardstock:

I stamped the 10,5x15cm green cardstock as my background but you could stick some designpaper onto if you prefer, plus I added one of the 1x10,5cm stripes - just pust sticky strip at the outer corners or adhere with brads 'cause you want to leave the middle part without glue in order to slide the 6,5x23,7cm piece trough...

Then slide the "tongue" through the holder and put sticky strip on one end as shown.

Adhere the second 1x10,5cm piece onto the tongue and again, just using sticky strip or brads on the outer corners, adhere to the base as shown (approx. at 5cm from the bottom up).

Then it's about to prepare for the waterfall.

From bottom up adhere sticky strip as shown:

below the scoreline above, below scoreline above, ABOVE scoreline BELOW (I made a mistake in this picture, corrected it afterwards), last one below scoreline above...

Then adhere the decorated panels - starting with the lowest...

last (which is actually the first one)...

I added a little piece of cardstock that one has to pull in order to "activate" the waterfall - you could add a sentinent or another picture on the lower part of the tongue that will just show when pulled...

And this is my finished card - wuhuuu =)

Another new stamp-set I got, and this is what I came up with - altough I´m not that much into autumny colors this is quite suiteable for this time of the year...

Ein weiteres Stempelset, dass ich neu bekommen habe - und das hab ich damit gemacht, auch wenn mir Herbst-Farben nicht so liegen ist dies doch eher eine gedeckte Karte...

Another card I made today, just to say "Thank You". Stamped the image onto a see through envelope that I cut beforehand, adhere it with snail (stamped image facing down).

Eine weitere Karte, die ich heute gemacht habe, um "Danke" zu sagen. Das Motiv ist auf ein durchsichtiges Kuvert gestempelt, das ich zerschnitten habe, aufgeklebt mit Snail (das gestempelte Motiv unterhalb Richtung Karte).

HOW TO - Little Flower Pots

I found two little plain white flower pots, my mom left at our flat when she moved out. But I didn't really liked how they looked. Two weeks ago, I ordered some tinkering stuff and got some hankies as a bonus - and I really love them =) So I today (as I got a cold plus a super snuffy nose) I decorated the pots. This is a HOW-TO Tutorial...

Ich habe zwei kleine schlicht-weiße Blumentöpfe gefunden, die meine Mutter in der Wohnung gelassen hatte, wie sie ausgezogen ist. Ich habe sie nur nie genutzt, weil ich deren Aussehen nicht wirklich gut leiden konnte. Vor zwei Wochen hatte ich dann Bastelmaterial bestellt und als kleinen Bonus bekam ich eine Packung Taschentücher - und ich war hin und weg von dem

Design-Druck =) Also hab ich heute (weil ich verkühlt bin und eine super-laufende Nase habe) die Töpfchen dekoriert. Und das hier ist das HOW-TO Tutorial...

This is what you will need:

Kleber für Servietten-Technik / glue for napkin decoupage

Blumentöpfe oder anderes zum Dekorieren / flower pots or anything else you want to decorate

Taschentücher oder Servietten / hankies or napkins

Pinsel / brush

Für den ersten Topf habe ich das Taschentuch in Streifen geschnitten und das Muster fortlaufend sortiert / For the first flower pot I cut a hanky in stripes and sorted them that the print would be ongoing:

Zum Dekorieren verwenden wir nur die bedruckte Schicht der Taschentuchs, die Lagen sollten sich leicht voneinander trennen lassen / We just use the printed layer of the hankies the layers can be separated easily:

Als erstes wird ein Teil des Blumentopfes mit dem Kleber bestrichen (auch über die Ränder hinaus) und dann der erste Streifen aufgeklebt - dann erneut mit dem Pinsel eine weitere Schicht Kleber über der Serviette auftragen / To start off, cover a part of the pot with glue (don't forget the edges) and them put the first stripe hanky on the pot - then again cover the hanky with another layer of glue:

Die zweite Schicht Kleber von innen nach außen vom Motiv bzw. Streifen auftragen! / Apply the second layer of glue always from the middle towards the outer side of the motif or stripe!

Mit den anderen Streifen gleich verfahren, bis der ganze Blumentop bedeckt ist - das Taschentuch an den Ränder überlappen lassen / Continue with the other stripes in the same way - cover the edges with hank, too, just overlap the stripes...

So sieht der komplett verpackte Topf aus / This is how the finished pot looks like:

So sieht der Boden aus / And this is the bottom:

Für den zweiten Topf habe ich the Blumenmotive einzeln ausgeschnitten / For the second pot I cut out the flowers of the hanky:

Auch, wenn nicht der komplette Topf beklebt wird, streiche ich alles mit Kleber ein, um eine gleichmäßige Oberfläche zu erhalten, so sieht das Endergebnis aus / Eventhough this pot isn't entirely covered with motifs I put glue all over to the an even surface, this is the finished flower pot:
