HOW TO - Covered cans for presents

Hello and Welcome everyone :) Today I have got another tutorial for you!

(I've seen this somewhere else, but I can't remember where)

Hallo und Herzlich Willkommen :) Heute habe ich eine neue Anleitung für euch!

(Ich hab das selbst irgendwo mal gesehen, aber fragt mich nicht, wo)

Material:

empty/clean can - opened at the BOTTOM / eine leere/saubere Dose - am BODEN geöffnet

a strip of DSP cut down to the width/heigh of the can with strong sticky tape /

einen Streifen DSP passend zur Größe/Höhe der Dose mit starkem Klebeband

First, what you want to do is find the rebate of the can and use this for lining up your DSP for wrapping it around the can - then wrap :)

Als erstes sucht ihr euch die Falz der Dose, um daran das DSP zum Umwickeln auszurichten - dann wickeln :)

Next I searched for a nesti that covered the can's top (leave a bit of space all around the top as you need some space when opening the can - don't make it impossible to open your present box afterwards) and...

Als nächstes habe ich mir eine Nesti gesucht, die den Deckel der Dose bedeckt (etwas Platz sollte rundrum frei bleiben, da ihr ein klein wenig freien Raum beim Öffnen der Dose braucht - achtet darauf, dass es nicht unmöglich wird, eure Geschenkbox später zu öffnen) und...

find some paper that matches your DSP and cut two pieces of CS - stick those together.

sucht euch Papier, dass zum DSP passt und schneidet dann zwei Stücke aus dem CS - klebt diese zusammen.

Mark the opening thing on the circles and cut this part - then slide the CS UNDER this "ring" and stick it onto the can.

Markiert euch das Teil zum Öffnen und schneidet diesen Teil aus - dann schiebt ihr den CS UNTER diesen "Ring" und klebt ihn auf die Dose.

Last you want to fill the box and stick the bottom part back on - if you want to decorate your box - do that BEFORE closing it!

Zum Schluss müsst ihr die Dose noch füllen und den Boden wieder ankleben - wenn ihr die Box weiter dekorieren wollt, solltet ihr das machen BEVOR ihr die Box verschließt!

Now embellies - I'm using flowers I cut from matching CS and wooden butterflies that have been distressed around the edges, some ribbon, some swirls and some tiny pearls...

Nun zu den Verzierungen - Ich verwende Blumen, ausgeschnitten aus passendem CS und hölzerne Schmetterlinge, die rindrum distressed wurden, ein Bändchen, Schnörkel und ein paar kleine Perlchen...

How I update my SU Marker box...

Hey girls, I got my Storage-Box for all those SU-Markers and this is what it looks like...

As you can see, there are 10 empty spots for the current InColors (5 for each year makes 10 ^.^)

If you just put them in as they are - that would be finde, but I always like to have everything easy to find and therefore I made a little .doc (here shown as .jpg) that you can print, color with the corresponding markers and stick onto the paper back of the plastik box (using removable adhesive, as the colors will change in the future).

So here's the file (the boxes measure 2cmx1cm - color below the dotted line, cut the outlines)

 Hallo Mädels, ich hab heute meine Aufbewahrungsbox für all die SU-Marker bekommen und so sieht sie aus...

Wie ihr sehen könnt, gibt es 10 freie Plätze für die derzeitigen InColors (5 für jedes Jahr mach 10 ^.^)

Wenn man mag, kann man die Stifte einfach so in die Box geben - das wäre auch ok, aber ich mag es lieber, wenn ich alles leicht finden kann und einen guten Überblick habe also hab ich eine .doc gemacht (hier zeige ich es als .jpg), dass könnt ihr ausdrucken, mit den passenden Markern ausmalen und auf den Papierrücken der Plastikbox kleben (mit entfernbarem Kleber, da es ja in Zukunft wieder andere Farben geben wird)

And that's my finished box - just fill in the Markers as you've adhered the labels, done!

Und so sieht meine Box jetzt aus, nur noch die Marker so eingefügen, wie die Etiketten aufgeklebt sind, fertig!

Wreath pt.2

After cutting the white tulips that I had filled the wreath's ampullas with several times, I wanted some new flowers. So I got Gerbera in white and pink.

Nachdem ich die weißen Tulpen, mit denen ich die Ampullen des Kranzes gefüllt hatte, mehrmals geschnitten habe, wollte ich jetzt neue Blumen. Also habe ich Gerbera in weiß und pink gekauft.

Wir müssen die Info weitertragen, zeigen, dass wir uns darum kümmern, dass die Menschen erkennen, was sich in dieser Welt tut, dass es einen Mann gibt mit einer Armee von über 3o.ooo Soldaten, der Schandtaten begeht und von niemandem gestoppt wird.

You're a crafty girl, right?

Today my workmate came up to me and said "You're a crafty girl - could you make us a little something?" Of course I agreed and what she wanted me to do is this - a box where we can put sugar bags and other stuff to serve coffee. So some pieces of grey board, glue, and structured paper/cardstock and a white ribbon - this is the finished box.

Heute hat eine Kollegin zu mir gesagt "Du bastelst doch - könntest du uns nicht eine Kleinigkeit machen?" Natürlich habe ich zugestimmt und folgendes wollte sie, das ich mache - eine Box, in die wir Zuckersäckchen, kleine Sahnedöschen und anderen Krimskrams reintun können, wenn wir Kaffee servieren. Nach ein paar Teilen Graupappe, Kleber, strukturierten Papier/Karton und weißem Band - ist das die fertige Box.

A book for my new work

Another post today - wuhuuu.

So here's the deal... I started working on march 1st and as I tend to write down this and that I needed a book to take with me. Of course, there are some at my work - yeah, black or blue, nothing else - no thanks. So I made a book a bit more colorful and more fun.

Also, heute geht's darum... Ich hab am 1. März zu arbeiten begonnen und da ich mir dies und jenes aufschreibe, brauchte ich ein Buch, dass ich immer bei mir habe. Klar, ich hätte mir auch eines von der Arbeit nehmen können - klar, schwarz oder blau, sonst nix - nein danke. Also hab ich mir ein Buch gemacht, dass etwas mehr Farbe hat und einfach lustiger aussieht.

HOW TO - Lace Border

Hey Ladies!

Today I went through my stash and found some wonderful lace but I didn't want to use it as it was - I wanted to try something new. So I decided to make it into a border around my circle dies. I took some pics so you can see what I did - of course you can use any other lace, too - wider or smaller, but I guess it looks best with scallop-edged laces.

Hallo Ladies!

Heute hab ich mich durch meinen Bastel-Kleinkram gewühlt und wunderbar schöne Spitze gefunden, die ich aber nicht so verwenden wollte, wie sie war - ich wollte etwas Neues ausprobieren. Also hab ich beschlossen sie in einen Rahmen um meine Circle-Dies zu verwandeln. Ich habe ein paar Bilder geknipst, damit ihr sehen könnt, was ich gemacht habe - natürlich geht das auch mit anderen Spitzen-Bändern - breiter oder kleiner, aber ich denke, es sieht am schönsten aus, wenn sie einen geschwungenen Rand haben.

This is the lace I used...

Das ist die Spitze, die ich verwendet habe...

You want to cut the lace right where those scallops meet.

Man schneidet die Spitze genau da durch, wo sich die Bögen treffen.

Then just put some sticky strip around the backside of your die and adhere the lace - showing as much lace as you want. I kept it pretty close to the CS so the scallops "touch" the paper.

Dann klebt ihr auf die Rückseite eurer Die etwas Klebeband und befestigt die Spitze - lasst soviel hervorschauen, wie ihr wollt. Ich hab sie ziemlich knapp am CS angeklebt, sodass die Bögen das Papier "berühren".

And this is the final result.

Und das ist das Endergebnis.
